Old Time Rock and Roll was a hit! I loved hearing the students sing and watch them dance so enthusiastically. Our very own, Dior, did a fantastic job memorizing all those lines as the emcee, Dick Clark. La Bamba came alive with the lead singer, Ehlyan. All students came together to contribute to a very entertaining performance. What do you think? What was your favorite part about it?

We had a great time at the Sea and Sage Audubon. Tour guides commented on how well behaved and knowledgeable our class was. It really helped to study the birds and their habitats ahead of time. What was your favorite part and why?
We have been having a great week. Kenny did a great job representing our class for Red Day. He gave each student from our class a frisbee and pencil from his winnings. Keep up the spirit! Today, we wrote letters to the military and also witnessed school mates get their hair cut for donation. Tomorrow is Crazy Socks Day. Bring a pair of socks to donate, if you can! What a fun way to encourage others!

In addition to the Love a tree poster, Stephanie also was awarded a certificate and tickets to Splash for her artwork displayed at the Mayor's Prayer Breakfast in La Mirada. Way to go, girls!

Malina Peters won third place for visual arts, Alyssa Fernandez won second place for literature in the Reflections Contest and Emily Castro won first place or the Bookmark Contest for all of La Mirada. The last picture is a group shot of our fabulous five.
Congratulations to Lundyn Vega and Sammy Miller for receiving a trophy and a medal in the Reflections Contest. Sammy won first place in the area of musical composition. Lundyn won first place and went on to the Thirty- Third District with her photography piece. What talented 4th graders we have in our class!
